So basically, there's a lot if the feelings like Jinx has about Red where he feels like Shinichi shouldn't have to deal with his bullshit crazy. i mean. can't even comfort detective without having his own triggers tripped. how fail is that? All he really wants is to have 5 FREAKIN' MINUTES without feeling like there's going to be something that sets him off. He's a lot more wanting to trust and rely on Shinichi now, especially after recent talk. But still some pfeelings nearing resentful since Shinichi always always prefers Kaito or Kid over him and that also makes thigs more complicated...
Shinichi has actually been a stablizing point for Kid, truth be told. mostly because after the entire triple homicide, Kid hasn't really been able to do much. there was definitely a period of time when he wanted to just roll over and just let Jinx do wtf ever because Kid isn't technically NEEDED. but detective interacts with the thief and there has been some healthier coping going on. basically, endearing him more to his detective :<
Finally, there's Kaito who's been doing the best of the three since he has both Red and Shinichi encouraging him. He's still very much denying and repressing what happened before he died, though, so it really tore into him when Shinichi continuously went on about Aoko and how Kaito felt he could have done something, anything to prevent what happened. So the breakdownish behavior at the end was Kaito coming close to that point of accepting there was nothing he could have done. buuuuuuuut opposite of his intentions, Shinichi encouraging him to have all the feelings made Kaito shy away feom them again. Basically, even with knowing that Shinichi has an idea of what's going on on his end, Kaito feels that he can't afford to completely fall to pieces... largely because, like I said, he's doing the best of the three hilariously.
In other words, Shinichi has been an awesome outlet and a good... friend? J-Jinx ia even starting to view him that way and there's likely to be more coping sessions like this. Mostly, seeing that Shinichi wasnt as together as he was acting helped wih giving the distraction of taking care of someone else while also showing that Shinichi gets it. Somewhat. Maybe enough...
REVERSE WHILE I GO I TUNNEL.

To start off, it really is partially his fault that Shinichi ended up the way he did. NOT TO PUT THE BLAME ON HIM, PER SAY, but he worked endlessly until he could solve his murder and it just. It was like that last thread snapping in half. He was *not okay* after that, and while he recovered to an extent, it just. He wasn't the same. And he knew it! But he was able to function well enough until he died that it was never really an issue.
And now here he is, here's Kaito, and oh god he can't keep a hold on his feelings. At first, he had to legit go out and KILL SOMETHING just to get rid of them, and Kaito scolding him a bit in the process after that and them just . . . kind of bonding helped get over this instant OH GOD OH GOD feelings he was having.
And now they . . . flop on each other. They talk. They've had near-breakdowns on each other. Shinichi has told him so many things that only Apollo knows, and it's just. Not only because he's comfortable enough to tell Kaito it, but because he trusts him enough with it. It's like all that trust earned in Sabra times fifty.
And an aside, but there is a bit of guilt in all of this on Shinichi's side; mostly the what if kind, like there was some way he could have prevented all of it and none of this would've happened. That it took him so long to solve the case (legit guilt), that in a lot of ways, he's so messed up that he has no idea how to help Kaito, but he's going to try anyway.
In a lot of ways, Kaito has become that . . . person he regards as his other half. LIKE, not romantically speaking, Ran will always be the love of his life, but without Kaito around, without those occasional heists, the banter, hanging out in Sabra, it was like this huge chunk of his life was missing.
And to be honest, Shinichi does prefer Kid over Kaito and Jinx, but only because Kid is the one he's the most familiar with, and the one he can deal with the easiest. That isn't to say he likes any of them more or less, it's just his . . . comfort level, and how much he can deal with personally that makes him prefer one over the other.
But yes, he. Definitely had some sort of breakdown in front of Kaito, and while there is a lot of AWKWARD AND JUDGING TURNED INWARD it isn't . . . as bad as it could be. And in a way, he's kind of glad he did? Like, here Kaito, see, I'm not okay either, it's okay not to be okay sometimes, and just showing some more of that utter trust he has in him.
He really does want to offer Kaito to stay with them, but in a way, he . . . doesn't think he can be as supportive as he can be when they do get together. He has his own problems, he has this threshold of dealing with people, he sleeps horribly, and a lot of that he feels would be reminders to Kaito and give him reason to blame himself more. But if Kaito ever asked, he would never, ever, say no.
tl;dr he would basically do anything for Kaito, loev stupid thief, all the stupid feelings and trust and sob.
Pecha on Shinichi!

Pecha finds Shinichi to be useful. he's always seen Quartz to be a capable kid in Sabra but with the year after Sabra difference, Pecha is aware of an alignment shift which of course means that capable detective is more willing to play game if Pecha plays his cards right. Admittedly, Pecha knows he fumbled up a bit when offering a trade and knows Shinichi isn't likely to forget the faux pas, so he's mostly been biding his time and watching developments. he IS aware not to poke about the thief and that Shinichi has pulled somethibg (not sure what) that agitated the Hydraculans in Apt. E. So overall, Pecha's just been quiet and watching--Sabrs people in general but like I said. Shinichi's one of the more useful ones.

I AM GOING TO CONTINUE TO BE SELFISH Kaito on Ikki being here? Since they . . . haven't threaded all that much
no subject
In some way, there's a bit of a guilty relief that people familiar to Kaito are there in Thusia, and Ikki's definitely one of those people. He just. probably won't visit very often until he's... somewhat. stable again. so as to not rub crazy everywhere '-'a
IKKI'S FEELINGS ON OBITO BEING IN THUSIA AND THE IDEA OF SOMEONE WHO KNEW OBITO BEING THERE TELLING HIM THINGS?
no subject
He hates the idea that Obito is there because he should have LIVED and ughhh it really hit him hard because Lark is his tiny and he really did feel like he was more of a little brother than anything, and - that is something RARE for Ikki, it's always older brother figures but. So Obito dying is like another mark on his list of FAIL, couldn't even protect his teammate ;;
But then here's Kakashi who knows him and - while he doesn't want Kakashi to tell him certain things, not yet - this is someone from Lark's past who could be . . . good for him. and Kakashi seems like a decent guy, if Ikki didn't like him he wouldn't have gone hunting for him and all, but. And well, Kakshi said they used to be teammates iirc and that's super important in Ikki's mind, so.
